Tim Smith, Owner

My passion for making things a little better or a little stronger than what they were before, can be traced back to my earliest days. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t enjoy a challenge. From school, to sports, government, business and to family, it’s important to be fearless, adaptive, optimistic and transparent. By nature I find inspiration in leading organizations that improve the way we work or live. As CEO of A.F. Smith and now partner in goPoint, discovering ways to help our customers be more successful is exciting. When not working – when aren’t I?—I’m a dogs best friend, traveling, watching a Netflix drama, reading a book or dancing to soft rock.

Danielle Dubois, General Manager

Grew up in Surrey, England, but born in the Seychelles so Island life is in her blood. Studied Engineer at Loughborough university, and has worked in the payments industry since 2018, working for Worldpay in London as a Solutions Consultant prior to relocating to Bermuda.

Danielle has had experience managing technology functions since 2016 and understands how to get the best out of her team.

She enjoys running, tennis and snowboarding, however since coming to Bermuda she has taken up golf.

Marcus Kermode, Head NCR Technician (Encor/ISS45 POS)

Marcus began his working life in retail, training as a butcher in the UK and then returning to Bermuda to work for Miles Market. He moved from the meat department to managing the frozen and dairy departments but had a keen interest in computers and technology. After certifying as a computer technician there was a complete change of direction and Marcus joined Datatech Ltd in 2003. Since then, he’s used his retail experience to apply to POS systems and his computer interest to apply to POS repair.

Allan Young, Senior Technical Manager

Born and raised in Bermuda, Allan was educated at Elliott Primary and Warwick Academy before heading off to Mount Allision University. It was there that he figured out that his learning style was more practical “hands on” rather than in the classroom. Allan then joined Pearman Watlington & Co. Ltd. as a junior electronics technician and went on to received his Associates degree from the City Colleges of Chicago on the naval base in Bermuda. Within his 10 years of employment with Pearman Watlington, he completed a variety of practical courses with Olivetti USA and Datacard Systems and gained a wealth of practical experience within the retail, fuel and card services business. In 1995 Data-Tech LTD (now GoPoint Ltd.) was formed and for the next 23 years, he assisted in providing sales and service support to the Bermuda retail, fuel and supermarket industries.

He has two grown young people, Shakahi and Dylan and over the years, has enjoyed many aspects of the local music industry, photography and travel.

Anthony Bennett, Senior Software Engineer

After studying computer and electronics at Atlanta Technical Institute, Anthony acquired an FCC License and worked for Atlanta University for a while, before returning to Bermuda to work for Business Systems Limited. There, he supported their Digital Equipment computers in the field, after which he started up his own company, Computer Rentals and Service, supporting many businesses and international clients. IBC recruited Anthony as a System Manager to help support and grow the company into a paperless organization, before he moved to Business Automation Limited, specializing in retail and hospitality. Now known as GoPoint Ltd., Anthony is a Senior Hardware and Solutions Expert maintaining, troubleshooting and managing the hospitality sector for Bermuda. Anthony helps businesses and new customers with their daily operational needs to ensure their business has the best up time.

In his free time, Anthony loves to travel and enjoys all varieties of music. He is involved in several charitable and community organizations worldwide. He is giving of his time and always willing to teach someone who is interested in learning.

Mark Caballero, NCR Field Service Specialist

Born and raised in Cebu, Mark moved to Bermuda in March 2021.

Prior to working at GoPoint Mark worked at NCR in Aloha Technical Support and supported companies globally for Aloha Online Ordering queries. He is very technical, previously working at a fixing center for computers, tablet and phone, which involved taking them apart and rebuilding them. Mark has also had hands experience troubleshooting Point of Sale systems in restaurants and bars, which makes him a perfect fit for GoPoint.
